Junior Charter
In 2001 the Golfing Union of Ireland and the Irish Ladies Golf Union established a working group with an active involvement in under-age golf. Its brief was to examine junior golf within clubs and to compile a Charter for Junior Golf. The Charter, which has the full support of the PGA Irish Region, is a defined document setting forth the aims and principles of a united group - the Unions, Branches & Districts and the golf clubs. Junior Development Plan
JGI is not standing still and is constantly reviewing the changes ahead and the challenges these changes may bring. JGI is working to create a seamless pathway, from first beginnings to regular participation to champion golfer. JGI looked at a particular set of issues in relation to the development of golf in Ireland and produced a Development Plan to ensure the introduction, development and sustainment of these areas from 2006-2008.
