Special Olympics Launch Leaders Manual
Congratulations to Special Olmypics on the launch of their Leaders Manual at Carton House. PGA tutors Gillian Burrell and David Kearney trained golf club volunteers to use the new manual to lead introductory golf activites with SO athletes. The manual was created with the help of Junior Golf Ireland's coaching manuals and we wish SO all the best with its roll-out. Pictured here is JGI committee member and PGA tutor Gillian Burrell with some of the golfers at Carton House.

JGI in primary schools
The JGI Tri-golf Primary Schools programme continues within schools who are linked to a golf club seeking new junior members.
When a club expresses an interest in taking part in the programme a 'Tri-golf' workshop is run by JGI for Primary School teachers.
Child-friendly equipment and fun introductory games help to encourage success and a love of the game, after which pupils can visit the golf club where the PGA pro will work with the pupils and children are welcome to enrol on the JGI coaching programme.
